Nice composition. Consider swinging you camera to the right so as to create a little depth showing one mountain in front of the other. Play with the sun's position and angle for the best lighting. Set the gamma to a lower setting; start with 1.1 and work up from there if too dark. This will give yoy richer color and better contrasts. Try adding more layers of various colors (child or sibling layers) to the lowest surfaces. Experimentation will be the key to your best pictures.

I think yhis is really a fantastic image! The sky is super awesome and the surface is just as it should be for the desert.There is not alot of plants at the peak of a desert mountain, so this is correctly done.Only thing missing is the signature of this great artist :)V

An excellent first image. I like especially the terrain on the right. It reminds me of Arizona for sure.
