Very nice, John -- I can almost smell the sea even though I'm under water! I've never looked through a periscope, but I was in the U.S. Navy for six years. So I'm qualified to offer a couple of observations: All four ships seem to be on the same horizontal plane. This would happen only in the calmest seas. Also not enough aerial perspective. The farthest ships should be less visible, particularly in such low light.

Creepy! Red October sneaks right in. Great idea for an image, and excellently done!

WOW, this is very, very good work. The sea looks awesome as do the ships. EweSaidIt has very good points there. Them aside, this made for wonderful viewing. Great stuff. ---- Scott.

Great job! I used the model myself in a post about a month ago..great little model. Like your concept a lot. Would suggest bow waves though so the ships don't appear to be static in the water and sitting ducks...afterall...they are fast attack boats!

Wonderful! Boats, subs and the ocean in general are a special interest of mine, and this one has a real Red October flavor. :) Dramatic and beautiful as only the ocean can be. :)
