Description

I chuckled when the Ghadanian Court asked me to fly to Bhavrea to retrieve a princess for marriage to the sniveling Prince Anwar. They knew my reputation as an honorable merchant and occasional bandit and yet the pay they offered was quite handsome. After a couple of days of the rude behavior one expects from royalty, we began to talk. Princess Carisa was fascinated and excited about my life as a flying pirate. All her life she had had anything she wanted, except freedom. I told her it wasn't about to get any better with Prince Anwar and that plunged her into a sadness. All day and into the nights, we talked and grew fond of one another. Her companions were very suspicious, but by that time, our plan had been hatched. Once over Ghadanian soil, I feigned mechanical problems and was able to trick the guard off the ship, as well as the Princess's maids. With apologies, we sailed away south and never looked back. On the third day out, Carisa stood in the moonlight asking me if I realized the trouble we were in. I told her they would never find us and she said that her father would not take lightly, the theft of the small fortune that was her dowry. She began to have doubts and asked what life with a thief would be like. I said, "Not so different than what she was used to.", but she found that hard to believe. "Where shall we live?" she then asked with some desperation. I pointed off the starboard bow and said, "Right there." I watched her mouth fall opan and laughed. Most thieves live for the day, but I had always had plans to retire someday and built a comfortable getaway home with my profits. *** This was made upside down. The camera, figures, ship and castle are flipped 180

You're as creative a writer as you are graphic illustrator! Nice work! I don't understand the up-side-down part...but, it doesn't matter :)

Cool piece. Reminds me of the style of the illustrator that wrote the illustrated book, Jumanji. Wonderful
