I love it - like the DOF and the realism.

Nice looking scene...the refraction of the wall through the glass looks weird though, like it's come out too light. Excellent wine bottle though!

All very nice. I just posted a series of these myself in my gallery, and they are fun, and challenging. You might want to add caustics to this, if you have the advanced render module... but, even as is, this is great work!

I would venture to say that he has the Advanced Render Module as this appears to be a HDRI render? I think it looks great too, Ace. Really nice. I love wine although I don't really consider myself very knowledgeable about it. Me and my wife splurged and bought a fairly expensive bottle of wine (for us) this weekend ont he recomendation of a colleague of mine and I thought it was nasty. Just goes to show you that you should drink what you like and not what you "think" you should like. Anyway, I've rambled enough. Good job.

The DOF gets too strong too quick with little graduation. It jumps from nothing to total blur after the 3rd glass. The wall being in focus through the glasses looks a bit weird also. A bit of wine on the cork base and some wine missing from the bottle would add a bit more realism. How about changing the wine to a nice Rioja ? ; )

No never Rioja :-) Thats to sweet. Your picture. I see this bug in my Cinema7 too. You lost the DOF and the glowEffect through transparent Objects. Thast look strange like in your picture. But i like your picture really. The cork need some redwine at the bottom! Maybe your lens angle is to low. The bottle is deformed in this way. but maybe you want this effect! Nice glasses very realistic wine colour!

It's a very realistic picture, but not realistic in one detail, how do you serve glasses with an unopened bottle? :S

thank you all for the great comments - Pancho: the bottle is open, but due to the perspective you cant see the opening. Its an exact copy of a real bottle. : )

very good! well, it's gonna be hard for you to get DOF through a glass, since cinema can't make that:-/ a solution however, is to simply blur the texture on the wall. Like it! cheers, pingo.
