This guy is looking for a meal. I can't wait until spring so I can go into some natural rookeries and get some baby photos.

perfection as always randy, this is the way I've always seen most herons, I love this, I wish I had the money I'd fill my place with your beautifull birds, these guys are not easy to get a photo of, wonderfull job!! but then all yours always are,you have captured the essence of this bird,not to many can really,truely do this, yet yours are perfect every time, what a pick me up thank you my freind, your a suck,getting to take photo's of all these beautifull birds,& being on the fly way of most bird routes, it's not far lol ;0P your wonderfull

A very handsome fellow! When spring comes, and the birds fly north again.... we have some fantastic birds come into our yard for a stopover visit to refresh themselves, and get a little nourishment. I can't wait for spring, either. Excellent work!

Beautifull colours and definition as usual,but...the close is a little bit too up.(If I can say.)Try to give a few "air"to the direction of the look.

Woooooooow, stunning colors on this magnificent bird. And the shot is so clear and sharp, the background is dark enough to let you focus on the bird in one instant. Only crit is that the composition would improve with some more space in front of his beak. And in stead of that yellow-brown patch on the leftbottom some nice reeds :)
