this is my second attempt but could use some tips on lighting.

A very nice 2nd try! i really like the fog effect on the mountains. As for the lighting goes, and almost every scene it is almost always better tu use many low brightness lights than 1-3 high brightness ones... in ur image we can see that u were using a big and powerfull radial light over the foreground and it doesnt really do the job. Also, always keep in mind that in outdoor scene ur main light should always be the sun, the other light are just there to add some touch or to draw the attention on particular thing. Hope it helps a little. Keep brycing brycing brycing and ull just get better. see ya
