Step 4: convert to color mode and adjust the base tone or put in color information into the black or neutral which is the gray so that it is composed of multi colored dark shade rather than just the black channel, otherwise you will not be able to create full color mood adjustments or filtering. Step 5: create a new layer for color, or you may need a few layers of different properties such as multiply, overlay, colorize
