Description
Finally got Stephanie 3, and what a doll she is! :) I have been writing a bit of 'fanfiction' lately, just for myself, based on my favorite author Marion Zimmer Bradley and her world of Darkover. For those of you not familiar with this world, you can read more here. I decided to try and illustrate one of the stories I have been working on. Pretty much everythin in this picture is by DAZ. The face is my own creation. Enjoy!
Yllana Storn has lived all her life as the nedestro daughter (although acknowledged early) of the third son of old Lord Roybard Storn. There was a terrible storm the night she was born, and her mother died, and there were whispers about, when people thought she could not hear them, that she was a sorceress, daughter of an evil leronis. Yllana had lived her life as a servant in her father's small holding deep in the Hellers, graciously raised by the kindly, aging midwife there, ignored by most who knew her. Yet now she finds herself in the throes of threshold sickness, at a time when such a possibility was thought to have been past. And the scope of the gifts that are awakening within her are frightening, most especially to Ylana herself. And she hears a voice in her mind, calling her to Hali. But her father would never allow her to go to a tower. He planned to cement the loyalty of his nearest neighbor by offering her in marriage to his eldest son, a sallow youth with a cruel streak. And how much more was her worth now that it had been proven that she was with laran, that most precious of gifts that was slowly dying away among the comyn?
She must find a way to change her fate!
