Description
I didn't have time to build a new enviroment for my chopper project so I just pulled out my old garage scene and used it. This is the first test render I did. I liked it so much that I decided to do a second render.
Only, on the second render I turned the bike around, threw some tools and a rag on the floor under the bike and rendered it at 3200x2400 (800x600 at 400%), so that I could send it to magazines like Renderosity or 3D World. It's been rendering all night and hopefully I'll be able to post it tomorrow.
For more shots of the bike go to my web site (www.RoySorenson.com) and click on "3D World", it's just under the MACWorld coverage.

Very nice. I can appreciate the detail work. If I may be so bold... I would have placed the red flashlight on the counter at a slight angle to the camera. It is so prominent, but looks strictly 2D. Also, I would have spent the extra pixels to make fenders, tires, rims etc. look smooth. The image deserves it.

Thanks. I think you're right on both points.

Mate, I have watched this Wip of your chopper project closely, and I think you have done a great job! The only negative points about this render, is the flash light (take it out completely! As it is a distraction from your detailed on your chopper). I would add a little more reflection to the tiled floor as well as a bump map. And lastly reduce the light in the garage but keep the same lighting on the chopper. Like I said great work, these are only my few pointers.

Stunning work!!! I too have really enjoyed following your progress on this model... and I have to admit that I am not disappointed by this render at all. You might want to flip the bump map on the tires, the numbers seem to be reading like a reflection though. :o)
