After helpful suggestions from terra-man and Niutek, a second shot of my beautiful boots. I prefer the composition, but feel the lighting isn't as nice - see what you think

Are you kidding? I love the lighting here! Not only it shows off the texture beautifully, but it still gives them shoes a bit of that golden glow the other pic is famous for :)))) I love it. Wonderful job.

Love this lighting too, find this image less 'busy' and more evocative. It's like the dawn light on the boots is urging you to slip them on and go walk in the sunshine.

Another wonderful macro! Like I told you, I think the compo here works a lot better.. shows more detail. =) The lighting is still lovely. Wonderful work =)

I prefer the first version. It is IMO more balanced. And as you think the lighting was better.
