*Got a letter today in the first day of freshly mints while outside all is blossoming and byrds are flying like cheerful lines colouring the air I feel like I am happy my friend, your words are so healthing Where are you today? How stupid I can be , Can't I? I feel so well my friend, your caring's so precious and whatever you're doing today I feel like there's something of it that I can see... She was so sweet to portray me months ago, and it was then natural for me to ask her if I could have done the same for her: she agreed, and at my request of sending me some pics as reference... well...she sent me some of the most beautiful poses I have ever seen. I can't help myself.. I am EXTREMELY keen at beauty, and she's just my prototype for females.. faery-like, royal, elegant, absolutely perfect. It was a hard choice to pick just one pic of her. Her art though is as enchanting as I said, as her face is. To say it as briefly as I can,I got phone in the new house ONLY two days ago, which made the ADSL connection slide away in the makin. So till January the 22th I won't be home connected in Lodi (today I am in Florence for the weekend, and that's why I can use pc ;))But as that date comes, EVERYTHING will go back to normality. See you on Sunday to a brief bleeping on of mine- and upload-,now can FINALLY surf a bit and you bet I will!!! hugs ;)

fantastic control of that pencil - just great drawing! The eyes are so good and the neckline with the hand is lovely... The background is appropriate, so my eye just goes ZING - right to hers, without delay.

Meli, it's so funny you don't consider yourself an artist, because you attack these portraits you do with such passion and fearlessless it's astounding. You have a real understanding and grasp of the human form too, which is TOUGH, and what's more your portraits always look like the people they're supposed to!! This is just beautiful!! Bellissima~
