Yes, and many attempts are not what we want them to be, my friend. Postwork at best is tricky and often unnatural. There is much in this image that is hidden by just that. But nice try! Artists never give up.

Nice concept - agree with Tania: the moon should be brighter and 'glow' slightly in this atmosphere; but you'ce gov the mood right.

Yes, excellent mood (and water by the way). If you have photoshop, you might brighten the moon and add a second render with its reflections on the water. I mean, the image is excellent, but the moon could be improved.

Whenever I put a moon in my terragen renders,I allways made sure that the darkest areas of the moon the same color and shade as the surrounding sky; If they were too dark, the moon would look extremely small and hovering over the landscape a couple of miles away; check out my moon renders in my gallery.
