I'm thinking of naming him "Grasshopper" since the legs protrude above the body like a grasshopper's. Hence the name.
This image is untextured minus some basic lighting effects.
My plans:
I'm starting from bottom to top so I'm Still working on the legs now. I have to figure something out for the arms. I don't plan on using the ones shown. The top section will be made into an engine kind of thing for mechanic working on it or something.
I know it still has a way to go. This will be a free download probably as well.

Very cool. This should end up one impressive model.

This is very impressive! Not only is the overall design very competent, but your detailing is also very good. I would only suggest that you round out some of the corners to give it a slightly more credible feel. Can't wait to see what kind of textures you decide to put on this mech. Looking forward to an update! :o)
