Description

The Warrior Kreig, having escaped the deepest pits of the dungeon of the brutish Ogre Hammerfist, finally made it to the homeland of his one true friend, Ambrea the elf ranger. Upon nearing the tower of his friend, the tired Kreig was set upon by a giant spider of Lor'Ter Nor. Quickly he dispatched of the foul beast with the one possession he was able to recover during his escape...the mighty warhammer Wakruel (meaning skull smasher, in his native tongue). Cursing his luck, he looks to the pain spreading across his bare foot. There, from two rapidly blackening punctures, his life blood bubbled. The spider's poison would work quick and even one as tough as Kreig would not be able to resist the final sleep it would bring. His one hope was to find his friend home and stocked with antidote. ////// Posed in Poser. I think Kreig's pose is a little too unnatural. His facial expression is a little too content. I'd think after going through all the stuff he went through, he'd be a little bit more pissed off and have more slanted eyebrows and stuff. Also, I think he shouldn't be facing the spider square on. Perhaps his legs could be displaced a little bit. That would give him better leverage and momentum for crushing the beast. However, the overall atmosphere of the scene is great. And your postwork is FANTASTIC. You gave the render an amazingly textured, handpainted look (How did you do that?).

Thanks for the comments all. :) Migs, I agree 1,000% about the pose and the facial expression. When i made this image lastr night, I was learning about Injectors. At the time, I couldn't figure out how to get the dials into the model to give him expressions. After hours of frustration, I gave up and used a stock pose with a little tweaking and the stock face. Now that I was shown how to do the injectors properly, I have my happy dials back and you can expect to see real facial expressions from this point forward. :)
