Another great shot, you captured the subtle colors realy well. Beautiful plant, but they sure can stink! Nice job as always.
garnite
Ah, the sickly sweet smell of the bog in spring. They claim the powdered root is a hallucigen. Some people have way too much time on their hands. Nice colours, great catch

Actually it is Garnite, native's have knowen of it propperties for hundreds of years, they used it alot in ways to find out what the spirit world,or mother earth ,or the great spirit wanted, among other things, it has alot od midicanil uses,my grandma use to know of tea's & thing to make from it to help fever, very intresting plant,& thanks for the wondefull comments, I'm glad you guys like it so much, THANK YOU!!! my grandfather was or my really grandfather was blackfoot, but never got to know him ,that sucks sounds like I could have learned alot from him, they told me he knew about the diffrent uses of native plants on the Island, oh Vancover Island that is lol, my grandma made a poltis for me when I use to get broncitis all the time when I was a little kid, there was bear fat, amoung other really smelly things in it, I wish I could get it off her, it's lost in her head someplace, lol look up on this plant, you'll find alot of stuff, well old uses for it, I hope you enjoy, thats 1 of the reasons I picked this pic, lots to learn about this stincky, plant, lol

Just now I've seen your photo "a very magical winter's day" but you don't accept comments on it but I wanna say that it's a wonderful photo with beautiful theme, colors and DOF. Said this now I must say you that it's the first time that I see this plant and I like very much the abstract effect. Thanks for sharing these photos Tina :)
