of one loves heart
is truly not what love
is all about
if you could only see
beneath the surface
you would see a heart
thats been battered and scorned
from those who have pushed
and controlled these
emotions within
thick walls of stone
covered over by those
who try to penetrate
the walls that are guarded
Oh that I wish I had
wings on my heart
I would fly away
from the feelings
that have trapped me within
years of mistrust
of pain and grief
has only brought on
this protected heart
these walls are
comfortable to me
for they have become
home to me
love is gentle
love is kind
love is paitent
love is forever
