Description

"And so am I." Arilyn whirled around. "Is this true, Talia? Is this a Foretelling?" Talia seemed to be in a sort of trance. "The Five will go forth. The Old Gods. Oh no. The Old Gods are returning! The Five are the only obstacle!" She shook her head, shuddered, breathed deeply and grinned. "Well, it seems that I'll be going with you. Sounds like fun." "Wait a minute!" Don yelled. "You are NOT coming with us. Far too dangerous." "Yes, far too dangerous" Cassy agreed, which evoked another chuckle from Chayne, who suspected Cassy had another reason not to want Talia along. "We will not decide here and now" Arilyn announced. "It is late, and you are tired. Tomorrow we will meet again. I will heal your arm now, Don. And then we'll go to sleep. Halbar!" "Yes, milady?" "Have the guest rooms prepared. Our visitors are exhausted!" "It has already been done, milady." The elven warrior smiled. "Cassandra, Chayne, would you be so kind to follow Halbar to your rooms? We will meet again in the morning. Don, come over here, I'll see what I can do with your arm." Arilyn softly touched Dons elbow and hand. He felt a tingle spread through his arm, first only at his elbow, then it spread to his forearm and wrist. He tried flexing his fingers, and much to his surprise, there was no more pain. His arm felt as new. "It was a simple fracture, and would have healed in a short time by itself." Arilyn explained. "I only accelerated the healing process. The energy for the healing came from your own body, though. Expect to be somewhat more hungry than usual the coming days." "Thank you very much, milady." Don answered with a bow. "You must be a great mage, none of our healers could have done this. Thank you very much indeed." "Well, unlike the humans, we did not forget everything the dragons taught us. Now, off to bed. I will see you in the morning." Dragons? *** Figured it was time for another image in my series. Hell of a job to get that purple glow right. It's a spotlight with P5 volumetrics. As always, pure P5 render, no postwork.

Dress material is a noise shader connected to transparency at value 1.0, displacement at value 0.1 and alternate diffuse, white. Simple stuff, actually, no texture or transmaps necessary.

Now THIS is way cool! I have no tried with Poser 5 new features too much, the dress looks awesome, and that light too. I even do not know that volumetric lighting, when I have done them with transparencies...

You're kicking butt when it comes to using P5's features. It looks a lot more powerful than I'd been led to believe. Funny what a bit of experimentation can achieve! The only thing I might have changed is add more light to Arilyn's face, even if it were just a subtle light to show her eyes looking at Don. I'm really enjoying your story too - it's progressing nicely, and there's a solid feeling of something "big" approaching.
