Description

The other day I was browsing through the galleries, and came across a few unique colorized Civil War photographs posted by jocko500. These pictures, and the link he supplied, inspired me to start a project. First to restore the picture to good quality, and then to colorize it realisticly (or as close as possible w/out too much research on what colors to use and whatnot). Well anyway, here is the finished restoration of the stock photo from the achives at http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/cwphtml/cwphome.html Caption for photograph reads.....[Antietam, Md. 1862 President Lincoln and Gen. George B. McClellan in the general's tent]. I plan on posting the coloized version in a day or two so keep your eyes peeled for it :)

I've attempted such things on old photos of family members. Never got anything close to as good of a result as you did. Great job!

Keep it up - Great work. Please post just like this - original w restoration and then a colorized version later. I always like seeing the process - it helps me appreciate the time you must have spent on this. Incredible!
