Description

I started this one early in 2003 using a mouse and Corel Photopaint. I used a portrait of my wife, Leslie, as a model. Late in the Summer my kids begged me to take them to a Comic Book Convention in Chicago where I got the "bug" to take up Drawing again. I bought Brian Haberlin's Digital Art Tutorials at the Convention, watched a couple of them and decided to finish this piece. Using a mouse with digital art is the "pits" and it was really difficult finishing this piece. Trying to apply Brian Haberlin's techniques was tedious at best! I broke down and ordered a Wacom, Intuos 2 and PhotoShop 7(which doesn't do quite as much as PhotoPaint, but it seems easier to use). We'll see if there's any improvement next upload with the new software and hardware! Thanks for viewing! Any comments, criticisms or suggestions are welcome and encouraged!

Its a little weird, and not too anime-ee. The shoulder looks a little weird, but other than thatr, nice job.

You did an excellent job on the eyes and mouth (the former a difficult task)the eyes show emotion which is wonderful..over-all I think you did a very good job,,looking forward to your next one !! Great
