Due to a storyline that I came up with, I decided to create a starship from a previous era in the SpaceCorps Universe. The idea is a ship designed to handle a missile bombardment of a planetary targe, not for a firefight with another ship. There is a historical reason for this in their storyline.
Obviously, when they finally meet with an unagreeable group of aliens who are prepared for a space battle, this type of ship is woefully unprepared, hence the story I'm working on.
The idea is that it has heavily armored shields to help protect the ship from incoming missiles that close tight for defense, but open up to send their own barrage.
Obviously, texturing will be a big part of my project now, but I'd like to hear any comments on the model itself.

Looks really good. I like the design concept!

Good project. Think about the light on the ship. If you get such light, the ship must be in a sun system. In the interstellar space you get only little reflections of starlight. So, if you are in a sun system, get the chance and bring it in your picture - get a dynamic perspective.

I agree with the lighting. It was a quick and dirty to get a general idea how it would appear in a space scene. Once I get the texturing done, I'll work on the lighting.
