Im the last person to give sage advice - so will leave it to the more seasoned veterans. I think its a great start! and am glad that you posted. I like where the pose for this is going, shes got verve :)

Very good for a start! As you have asked: what I would try: turn background black and add a backlight (from right behind). And something's wrong with the hair.

(1) The hair mayneed to be adjusted down and back a bit. More importantly, it needs what's called a "transparancy map", which makes many thin lines invisible or partly-visible so as to create the illusion of real hair, which is made up of individual strands. Look for a file named hairtr.jpg or something like that. In the material room, go to the "Transparency" node - if it's already linked to an image map, set the dial to 1, which turns the map on. If it isn't linked, set it to 1 and then create a new "image map" node and point it to the transparancy file (hairtr.jpg).
(2) Looks like you shrunk the waist without quite making the chest and hip match it. Try adjusting the dials in the "body" part, rather than the "waist" part - Victoria 3 has a number of "full body morphs" that will automatically compensate with other body parts to give the slim waist.
(3) The hands could use some finicky adjustments - fingers are tricky to make look "natural". Use the "hand cameras" in Poser to get a close-up view, and then compare the lay of her hands to how your own looks in a similar position. It may take a lot of small-scale adjustments, but they'll look more natural after.
(4) The elbows are always like that, alas. Not much to be done about it at the beginner level.
