I felt the poem was fitting for this image. I don't think all people are comfortable with aging. I believe that for some, the sadness of life mostly spent can be overbearing...things never finished, places never visited, tasks uncompleted, friends never made...the feelings that, "I should have", or "I wished I could have", or "If only there was still time". This is dedicated to all of them. May they find peace when their journey is finally over... This old woman is actually a life-sized wood carving. She's sitting on a wodden bench attached to a second story wall in my city's City Hall. Best Regards...
