Description

Hi Mojonauts! Well, since I have had my artshow opening now I figured that I should show you all some pictures from it. The show was a TOTAL success and I had so much fun. I had a 3D-artshow in a gallery/restaurant (in the town where I grew up, and moved from 7 years ago) and I was the 89th artshow (the first one with cg-art) and I took both the sell-$-record and the visitor-record so that's pretty cool. :) I was mentioned in the local paper several times, I guess that's my so many decided to visit. I have 21 framed images there (offering 10 of each, but only the first one is framed) and I sold 23 in just three hours..(!) The "art" will hang there another two weeks so hopefully I'll sell some more during that time. About half the images there were created in MojoWorld and the rest is Maya, LightWave 3D, Softimage XSI and Photoshop. I decided to name to show "Parametric Hyperspace" (Parametrisk Hyperrymd, in swedish) in honor of MojoWorld/Pandromeda (thanks! :) and also because that name really describes this kind of art so well. Oh and by the way, I'm the dude there with the glasses and the brown denim jacket... The rest of the people are family, friends and visitors. I met people, teachers, friends - some that I hadn't met in 15-20 years so I had a great time... Most of the art there was only rendered in low-res before so my workstation has rendered those 21 images from August 2003 to December 2003 non-stop (phew!) and I was very happy to finally see them all framed and up on the walls. Most images there are about 6400 pixels wide. Sorry about the bad photos by the way - a bad digital camera with the wrong flash setting was used. On this link you can see my invitation and poster for the show in higher resolution. It's all polygons, curves and fractals....just the way that I like it.. :) http://home.swipnet.se/~w-10972/wip/arvidf-utstallning_inbjudan&poster.jpg This is just a small presentation of the show, I'm creating a website for at the moment and I'll post the URL to it later when it's done. There's higher quality-version of this image 512kb at Renderosity.com. If any of you have the chance to have your own little 3D-artshow I really recommend it. Thanks for visiting and commenting! ~Arvid
