Description

...inspired by a greetingcard I saw the other day (with a picture taken last year in Denmark). Yes, it can look like this in my country, but not every winter. We haven't had much snow in my region so far, then it's a good thing you can dream in Vue :) *********************** Vue 4 with a mix of Xfrog and Vue trees. Heavy render, 6 hrs. in "Final" - in "Ultra" the estimated time was 30 hrs. - didn't want to wait for that :) Some postwork in Photoshop for colour/levels correction, and this: The "icy water" is made from two Vue renders with different water textures, then composited in PS. *********************** Hope you like it - comments always appreciated.

Truly awesome. It looks like a photo. But...brrr. We are just now getting a dusting of snow. St.Louis has had mild winters for a couple of years but it used to look like your picture, minus the creek. Wonderful scene and great composition.

Nice blue.... beautiful image. It does look like a postcard or greeting card. We have no snow here. The last time it snowed here was in 1975, but it melted soon after.

:-o WOW! Det er fantastisk flot! rigtig, rigtig lkert! Isen/floden er mke lidt for reflekterende, men ellers ser det skidegodt ud! Jeg vil ogsgerne se det i Ultra... eller Broadcast. Kvaliteten er nten ikke til at kende forskel p :)

Thank you so much for your wonderful response to this work - its very much appreciated. I rarely just "rush my work" and of course not in this case either, nice to see the effort paid off. Though I do professional computer graphics work from time to time, I still consider myself very much an "amateur" - but in the true sense of this word: For the love of things :) Thanks again!
