Description

In gentler days, when you had the time to roam the prairies, and hike around the hills just to have a glimpse of the next beautiful view. You could feel the gentle rays of the sun caressing your skin all over like a luxurious warm blanket, and a lite summer breeze would blow through your hair, and possibly feel a sprinkle from a local rain cloud on your brow! And back then, when you had the time, would make a point of hiking to the little river to catch the reflection of the clouds in the water, or to maybe just look at the fish swimming by or hear the water flowing over the rocks and boulders. I hope this image inspires you with a love of nature and the joys of solitude. Thank you for viewing and comments :)

prutz is right I think, the scene does look a little off balance. Maybe swing the camera to the right more to put the focus closer to the centre of the image. The terrain, mapping and lighting are all very good and I love that huge cloud, sweeping from bright sunlit edges to a dark and threatening centre - a fine image :-)

Wonderful image, Patt, the sky, terrain and water are all perfect. I even like the composition, it has a nice flow and movement, it leads the eye around the picture.

The joy of solitude....always longed for but seldom realized. A wonderful place to wander aimlessly, to lose ones self in the wildness, at peace, no noise, no company, no thoughts except enjoyment. Very nice image and wonderful description.

Right nice piece of work Patt. It does bring out a sense of serenity. I like it alot. Think its time to lay back and take a nap by your little creek.

Your description is wonderful; your picture is excellent Patt. With each render we learn more about what should be perfect...but, perfection never really comes. This is why we continue to emulate nature in the best way we can. Your work is refreshing and is excellent...vote.

Oh, Thank you Patt! I have another desktop picture! I love your description. I will run down those hills like I am six again...I will fall and roll the rest of the way until I am so dizzy when I stand I fall laughing to the ground again. I will make animals of the clouds, and laugh at the wind. I will dip bare toes in the water, and tickle the minnows. I love it. I am six again!

a great place to be, new delights, each time one foot is put in front of the other new sights encourage and await...a quenching touch of the wind and the hypnotic smell of the earth, finding the calmness in the natural chaos of nature.....well done.

I love looking into the distance on this one, and I love your story! The midrange and distant hills are very beautiful. I have to disagree with Rids on this one. I think your composition is outstanding, and leads the eye right where it needs to go.

I love this, reminds me a little of places in the UK such as Wales or the Lake district in Cumbria.
