This time with a hyper-nurbs and some nebula although the planet still seems a bit unrelistic;

The modeling and colors are Excellent. the lighting doesn't seem quite right but this is one beautiful picture. Very original!

Agreed; I'm not certain if it is the lighting or if the surfaces are just too clean. Still, very nice work.
