Description
My Art Faeries set me up with the means to try my hand at oil painting... This is my first attempt, and I'm guardedly pleased with it. It's also the first still life I've attempted since high school - o so long ago now. ;) With two cats, it was probably the most active still life ever! Comments and suggestions are most welcome.

Well, if this is the first try, where waiting for the rest. It looks good, you captured the light as it should be done and the arrangement is better then Idd ever make.

Nice piece! Looking forward to seeing more. I like the abstract form of the curtains as a contrast to the round shapes of the still life. One small suggestion would be to rearange the apple so that the stem of it and the stem of the tea pot don't create such a tangent. They draw my eye to that spot and hold it there. :-)
