Description

Alright, this is the last of the Teleport Tree series. I'm still just playing around with photoshop special effects on the same base image. I'd love to hear opinions on your favorite and why.

Ok, I've seen all three but this is the first one I've commented on so bare with me. I like the basic scene alot, very dramatic landscape. It also appears the the sky at the horizon on the left is pretty much the same in all three. I think that I like this one the best because of the tree appearing in silhouette. The first one has a little definition in the leaves that, to me, detract a little from the image because I like to see interesting shapes, like trees, in high contrast. The second one, dawn, has lovely lighting but to me is not quite as dramatic. This one shows the great abstract shape of the tree against a darkening sky and those wonderful stars. All three are very good but this one is definetly my personal favorite.

I like this one the best it feel more complete. The darkining removes some of the ovious computer textures that were on the rocks. Making this look more like a photo. I like the stars better on this one too. Although the larger ones are just a tad to grainiy they could be blurred just ever so slightly. You are really making a good start as a beginner. This is a captivating pic.

Thanks everyone on the comparative comments! I'll have to try the star blurring. I have to admit I'm amused about the comment about the rocks - 'cause they're real rocks. I was going to post a landscape I made in Terragen next, but maybe I'll post the original two photographs that made up the base image for these. Thoughts, anyone?

Well I would like to see 2 and 3 combined,I feel that three has to many stars but I like the background because it is better defined..so there it is, you the artist has a decision to make!! By the way all were Excellent!!

After a careful study of all three, I too like this one the best. It hides the root issue that the other too showed. I love all the stars, living near a city they get drowned out by lights here. All three are very impressive work!

The stars definitely add some magic to the scene here! Makes me think of Merlin for some reason! The Broceliande forest and the druids! Beautiful!! :)

I love the "Teleport Tree" image, and this one is my favorite. I agree with Redbeard's comment about the tree silohuette being the strongest in it. And the stars add that extra touch of magic. (Okay, I love twinkly things! Is that so wrong?)
