Description
"In the future, a woman seeks shelter from the so called "Machinations" of life inside a Chapel without realizing just how much technology has imprinted itself on not only her personal life, but in her whole reality"
This scene is based off a novel I was working on... I got a bit inspired, and looked for some way to "portray" the feeling of the scene. Life in this "future" is sooooo rushed and on the fast info-network, that people need to walk around with computer consoles grafted into their heads, with a view screen that extends to show any incoming message/email/work/ect. The irony of this woman's seekings is that no matter where she turns to, the machine will always control her.
This is my first time posting any work here on this Forum, and seeing that it's my first time, I'm placing this picture under "beginner" until appropiate notice. The reason for the placement is because much of the picture is either a modfied prop/texture, or downloaded on the net. The skin texture is the VickyBuster 4 texture, modified and altered by me so as to give it a more "pale-red" look, with slightly-larger-than-normal pale blue eyes. The hair is the Mkhair, but spliced up in a UV mapper and altered a bit... ESPECIALLY altered in Photoshop. Credits for the outfit go to the person (forgot the name -_-) who did the "FutureSuit" (I'm now practicing on ways to do my own futuresuits"), and it has been modified a bit (given a slight canvas map on Photoshop, and a Gradient fill at 10% of blue and green). Credit is also due for the person who posted up in the props category a SUPERB mini-computer... I don't know how he read my mind when I was writing the novel, but he did. Since I really didn't want to make my own background in Bryce for this project (I was aiming for something somewhat quick), I give -FULL- credit to Steven Stalhberg's SUPERB rendition. It's absolutely stunning. In order to do everything right, I rendered the girl separetely, and then the clothing separately and applied them into two separate layers. From there on, everything else came. ^_^ From Level adjusting, color mixing, hair fixing, and the application of a frontal "Lighting" by applying 3 top "light" layers using proper gradient fills with specific settings on hard/soft lighting. Flattened, and voila... there you have it. In total, this took me about 3-4 hours. Hope you like it. ^_^ Please, be CRITICAL in your review... I'm striving to perfect myself in this. - Lad (aka zerosu)

Sorry for the repost... I kinda "screwed up" trying to edit the thing, and it made a copy, and I deleted it thinking I'd stay with the original one, and instead lost both. -_- Good thing for a browser's back button. Anyhows, rate away!!! -- Lad (aka zerosu-san)

Can't really critique you (sorry!) 'cause I'm pretty new at this.....but thank you SO much for spelling out how you did everything. That's enormously helpful and interesting. Really appreciate it..........And for what it's worth from an untrained hobbyist.........love the pic!

I think you did a fantastic job with this. A lot of work went into this and it shows. There is one little thing and if you did this intentionally, then ignore this. The image around her stomach and lower right arm looks either a little oversaturated or a tad too much contrast. But this does not take away from a very good composition.

I love it! Wish I could do something half as good (and maybe I could if I really sat down to learn this stuff)
