This is a very cool image-though I do find the central flesh bulb a little overpowering-it negates somewhat the beautiful work surrounding-still and all some elements are superb

Back in 2004 again...one of your commenters said that they found the center bulb a bit overwhelming...I understand, but it's what defines this humorous but also very powerful piece. The surrounding waves of fabric, wall, glass, whatever all that is creates a cathedral of the mind that's been warped by gravitational pull and time. And it's blasted-into by that big bulb. The bulb it gives a whole other dimension to the piece. The bulb itself is no monolith either: You've got strong deep pink shading, a highlight in the center, and a softness around the edges that suggests it could be made of light or energy as much as matter. And those two lights on either side---top left and top right---make us feel we're in a deep chamber. ('Cathedral' comes to mind because of the suggestions of stained glass windows and the long curved architectural lines---reminiscent of the vaulting and pillars of Gothic cathedrals. It even looks a little like the phantasmagorical lines of Antoni Gaudí's "Sagrada Famîlia" church.)

But that bulb is also like a nose---I can't help but think of Groucho Marx: If you had a mustache, you'd have Groucho to a tee. ("Next time I run into you, remind me not to look...") A serious and sinewy work, with real beauty, mixed with suggestions of high farce and comedy. And the pink undertones somehow pull it all together. Really fine work. Looks like you'd been doing this kind of art for a while before you posted here.
