I'm a fantasy and science fiction writer by trade, with a Masters degree in Biology. I dabble in art as a means of relaxing, and as part of developing my characters. As a result, the vast majority of my images have something to do with my writing. My first novel, Winter's Orphans, won an Eppie award and a Dream Realm Award for Best Fantasy Novel. Great scene - very fantastical - love the feel of it. The glasses and the snow remind me of a Harry Potter movie (I've always loved the snow scenes in those movies - so magical)

This is moody and beautiful! And the postwork is outstanding, especially the fur effect on the cloaks trim! And yes, she's not a supermodel like all the other girls here in the gallery, something that should be considered a little bit more often IMO..... makes more interesting artwork to look at ;o) ~Saskia~
