Yep, this one has character ... wonderful portrait. Sorry, don't get me wrong i don't have anything against portraits of beautiful young ladies, but pictures like this, i do like a lot more. So extra special thanks to you Louis!

The sense of submitting to publicity is there. Subdued, given to chance, literature has hounded his expression. I see no more than a wharf-rat (Eric Hoffer) or a bargeman, though not the galley slave of Jean Valjean. The beret gives a profound pirouette to the profile.

Agree with tallpindo! The first thing that comes in my mind when I see the portrait is Balzac(I don't know why!) and some of its characters..!*****

This is truely wonderfull...He looks like a man of many stories...Most of us do not take the time to look and listen to older ppl and the way you captured him so strong and proud at his age..a man of power if not in this world in his own..I love it..^v^Julia

Stupendous portrait Louis....!! the strong lights characterize the character and they put of relief their personality...!!! the skin and all their details and the furrows that they have left the years in the face of the they demonstrate that all its life was possibly dedicated to the rude tasks of the field. Be in their look an accent of sadness that he doesn't stop to move me...!!! The postwork with the grain attachto the whole image gives but it forces to this spectacular portrait...!! vote
