Description

I realize it's not the best photo of a woodpecker but I liked the mood of this shot so I thought, what the heck. :)

Great shot. It does seem somehow better. It's definitely a downy, that wasn't obvious before. Love it.

Well I think this is a great little pecker ;) LOL - Well you ask for it ! I do like the soft feel - really sets the mood - maybe that little pecker ( Wood Pecker that is ) will be larger in your next shot :-}

I would have definetely liked this shot even without the bird! I think it would be fun to collect photos of birds. They are so hard to capture.

You are absolutely right! Sometimes the composition of an image and the total view is more important than the sharpness. Great image!

Of course, some other pics show that birds bigger, sharper, with more colours. But do these shots have the mood you've captured here? To me, you've done very well with this one. Thanks for sharing!! :)

What a sweet little pecker, or is it a big pecker on a bonsai tree...check him for the west nile virus.

This little guy was watching you. He gave you 1.5~2sec. to take your shot? I think you did a great job. There is a small yellow finch around here I've been trying to get but he'll only give me .5sec to shot and only in the summer. Tough subjects can give the best rewards.
