Description

Here you go Michelle. This pic was taken in the same round as the last one. You can see the face and the eyes are reflecting the flash. I will need to get some better equipment one day to get a closer and clearer view of the face. The shiny black surface of this creature makes it a challenge to get a clear detailed shot.

Yeah, hard to get details in both with or black insects/animals. Perfect focus, like these forlegs streching into the lens :)

Wicked creepy! I won't even go NEAR those spiders. Black widows are bad news! I think this is an awesome image, it's close enough for me. Where did you find her?

I found her right outside my front door. These spiders aren't very mobile...they tend to stick to their little nook...otherwise bites would be much more common around here. I live in what is pretty much the northernmost habitat for these spiders (The southern interior of B.C. Canada)

To be true, my first thought was "he missed the focus on that one" ... but the longer i look at it, the more i like the feeling this one gives. No easy shot, but you did very well. Thanks for sharing Matt!

The depth of field is so tight that the only thing that could be in focus this close to the spider is the face.
