Welcome to my little corner of Renderosity. I am interested in many things besides art, for example, languages. I read 15 languages, and I have 140 languages on my web site. I don't really write other languages, though, so don't be surprised if I leave a broken comment for you. :) Please feel free to leave me a comment in another language, too.
Prints of my art can be purchased at deviantARTBIOThese days, my entire life is gathered around art in some form or another. I have a bachelor's degree in art, which I chose so I wouldn't have to sit in a classroom all day listening to people talk. :) I got very serious about art after the last of our seven children left home. Prior to that, I was busy homeschooling them. Besides visual arts, I love to make music. I play piano, organ, recorder (a wooden instrument somewhat like a flute), and classical guitar, and I sing. In the past, I have also played gamelan (a gamelan orchestra consists of sets of tuned metal gongs and bells with a couple of drums, and originated in Asia in places like Bali), I rehearsed for awhile with the local balalaika orchestra, playing autoharp, and I have studied with Xochimoki, a Latin American native musical group. In addition to music, I practice the martial art of taekwondo. I have a second degree black belt. Concrete art for me includes pottery (I sometimes design my own glazes, and I especially love raku), a little bit of sculpture, needlepoint (I use fancy yarns and stitches and sometimes invent my own), macrame, circular weaving, and I draw in color pencil. I also like to design artistic web sites. I have a passion for photography, and I am slowly working my way through scenic sites in Arizona and neighboring states. In digital art, I make art in Terragen, Bryce, Vue d'Esprit, Ultrafractal, Xenodream, and Apophysis. I am trying to learn Mojoworld. In addition to my sponsor site, you can see more of my art at my professional site: Extraplicity. Prints of many of my images are available at deviantART.
Spiritually, I am an heiress to the wonderful doctrinal legacy of Martin Luther, and a joint heiress with Christ. Soli Deo Gloria.

Ronjrah
where is my mountain bike? exellent point of view and beautiful coloring, Pat! only the green could be a little bit less bright, imho... :-)
EoinArmstrong
Gorgeous pov, colours and strata!
engineer
cool terrain and pov, I like the strata very much
CorTezz
imho the colors of the surface are too strong... sry
Alpo
Pretty groovy POV. I like the strata effect. Bold move with the toxic green color though.
PatGoltz
@ Ronjrah and Alpo: Actually, in Arizona, the cottonwood trees are that color in the spring. Cottonwoods tend to grow near riparian areas, and you'd find streams in the bottom of the canyon.
Dinalt
Great POV, and love the Strata.
Darthmagus

Agree with engineer !

Excellent strata again! Ich bin auch allergisch auf "toxic green", doch hier bekomme ich keine Symptome. Will hein: Mir geflt das Gr, das ja zudem sparsam eingesetzt ist und daher sehr natlich wirkt. Scher pov rigens!

Very different concept.Excellent work.

Wonderful!

Think of how much more this image would stand out with even a narrow stream running zig zag down this canyon. A little post work with a mountain goat or two, maybe a mountain lion and or eagle etc...! GREAT use of strata. It is a bit wavy instead of perfectly flat!
PatGoltz
@ Scottus: A stream would have to be postwork. Terragen doesn't do streams except on the level. The terrain valley slopes downward. Thanks for the suggestions!
