Here are Chuck's personal words to the community:
I am a self-taught artist, formerly working in traditional or conventional media. For the last two years I have been experimenting with CG (Computer Graphics), and trying to transition from traditional/conventional media to digital imaging. In a few words, I simply love art and always have. Many of my images are "post-worked" by hand, re-scanned and manipulated in Photoshop. On occasion, I still use pencil, Prismacolor, Silverpoint, Pen & Ink or painting to achieve the desired effect. Whether executed the "old way" or the "new way" or a combination of both, which I often fall back on.
Art is art and it is the end result that is (hopefully) appreciated.

Beautiful digital portrait. Evokes the evil queen in Snow White, questioning a flat screen lcd instead of her magic mirror - "LCD, LCD, on the wall, who's got the highest bandwidth of them all?"...

Majestisch und dunkel . . . ! Ein fantastisch Portrait . . . !

Interesting that some find it cold or wicked or evil. I find the 3D figure to have such powerful, desperate longing for the 2D that it's almost unbearable. Such pathos. Thanks for creating it.
