I live on the coast of the Pacific Northwest,USA. Here in the rainforest, alot of things grow. This photo is the top of a fencepost, complete with it's own little eco-system.

Brilliant shot, great foresight to envisige such a lively little scene. There's got to be a wee man behind that moss who might pop up and say "come for a cup of tea!!!"

Beautiful, I was noticing myself to-day the new growing mosses, and was considering a shot at them, This one is wonderful with the mushroom, as well. So where are you located? I am also in Washington...near Mukilteo...

Nature finds it's own breeding ground. It is amazing how fast it adapts. This planet is bursting for life, it is mysterious indeed. Whereas on the other planets since the chances are odd, there is no life or seems like none but on earth, whereever you go, u find life, in some shape or the other. This is a beautiful example. Thanks for sharing.:O))
