The wonderful climate and the strange beauty of Alderon III's Mist River Valley draws many travelers and race fans to this annual event. "Dash Dazzle with GNS (Galactic News Service) Sports here. What a beautiful day for racing we have here on Alderon III. The Mist River is flowing calmly right now so visibility is optimum. We'll see if conditions last. We've brought in a News @ 12 Studio Saucer to provide complete coverage of the race with an entourage of EyeCams. Wait!!... Here they come! It looks like the legendary Sky Cooper race team is trying to consolidate their early lead. Bob Floyd, flying #24 "Boop's Coupe" is in the lead and going for another point. His team mate Cap'n Bligh in #13 "The Exterminator" has just scored another ring while running a great block against "Zanth the Banth" in his Scarab MkIV. Zanth easily avoids the penalty ring as he VIFs (Vector in Flight) for a strong chance at swooping into second place. Dar'Leahl in the the "Green Hopper" is holding her position at number 4 as she scores another ring. Oh no! Look Out! Here comes a large flight of Giant Mooley Birds. Things might get exciting now!" This is the second image in my Air Race series. All of the models are original and made in Wings3D. The Sky Coopers were made for the January Wings Challenge. All of the trees and terrains were made in Bryce. There was no post work at all on this image except for the signature. I usually don't post Gallery Images this large, but with such a busy scene it had to be large to show some of the details. By the way... It is considered very bad form to actually hit a Giant Mooley Bird. Bad for the pilot also, as the Mooley Birds(they are actually Dactyls) can have a wingspan of over 6 meters.
