In the beautiful lush forest surrounding Earth Merfolk, the Holders of Ggotala defend their land against the Primal Jackal People. Earth Merfolk lies within the Empire of the Lawful Strong Ramparts, where life is full of abundance. The land produces fantastic crops every year. The hunters have a large choice of game to hunt. The Emperor, Meliab has opened the lands to outsiders because of the vast resources available to support more people. Newcomers must swear to uphold the Lawful Strong Ramparts. The Primal Jackal People want this land for its abundant wild life and rich soil. Their current homeland, Kingdom of the Dangers, has become known as the Valley of Decay. Their evil doings have upset the gods and everything that they plant dies and rots in the fields. The animals have long departed and food has become scarce. Meliab is out hunting when he sees a stranger stalking an Elk. He recognized the man, Zeusus, who is one of the main negotiators of the Primal Jackal People. Being a strong defender of peace he approaches Zeusus who turns on him and fires his arrow just missing Meliab
