Description
This pic started out as a simple test render for HMS Victory and just kept adding. The fog was created using 3 fog and smoke alpha planes, of different sizes, spaced apart, with anti-aliased-cast shadows-receive shadows all unchecked. The only problems I had was with the ships regging, must be Ultra rendered to come out right, but didn't like the water so I rendered in Broadcast.
Models used- the most excellent HMS Vistory by the Hankster, sorry don't know the artist name for the lighthouse. Thanks for viewing Mark

Oh come on....a ship this size would NEVER be seen in shore this far. Unless this is a toy model. AND, as I have said to others who use this model...close the ports. As you can see, the lower gun deck is underwater. This means the ship is now moments away from sinking, because thousands of gallons of water are now pouring into the lower decks and swamping her. (obviously, whoever is piloting this vessel, didn't bother to heed the lighthouse warning)Sorry, as a nautical historian, I find this scenario wholly unbelievable. Now, as to the render itself, the water, fog and landscape (rocks, etc.) are very believable and well rendered.
