Description
This is a textile wall hanging I recently acquired from a woman named Sarah Littlejohn of Dunnet Landing, Maine. She made it about 30 years ago on a traditional wooden loom and had only lately advertised it for sale in order to pay for some necessary repairs to her house. It measures approximately 22 by 70 inches and appears to be woven from a mixture of cotton and silk. It is now proudly displayed in my living room. If you think it appears to be similar to a chaospro image you might not be totally incorrect.
Thank you, as always, for viewing!

A very interesting weaving. The continous path has many zigs and zags as it goes to ground. Like lightning that has trapped a rainbow.

Now who is luckier Jack, you for aquiring it or us because you shared it here? Makes you wonder what was she trying to portray? Lovely colors, very nice design.

Wonderful shades of colour in this textile picture - it just goes to show that fractals are ,of course , a perfectly natural art form !

Wow! What a cool wall hanging! You're right - it does look like a design that might have been generated by a fractal generator. Hmmm.. 30 years ago? Hippies, psychodelia....maybe that's why some of us like fractals so much..:>)

Interesting. I recently bought something at an exhibition of (believe it or not) craft plastic. It looked very fractal like to me. I will put a picture of it up tomorrow. Thats tomorrow in uk time.

Interessante lavoro, un astratto che merita una lettura approfondita.
