Entry for Bryce Forums January 2004 Challenge, "Realism With Bryce - Undersea". Stacked Terrains with a few aquatic plants imported from 3DCafe. Diver figure is from Michael Janssen. Landscapes and plants have procedural textures, the surface water was painted in Photoshop and applied as a picture texture to a 2D plane.

I know how hard is make a realistic undersea scene. I saw some such work made in Vue. In Bryce... your work is really one of the best though with some post work. But it's only my subjective word (though) ;) Mirek

Lighting is so very cool, along with the colors of coral, and the feeling of depth. It has much realism. It's awesome!

Really nice work Agent Smith! Very impressive, and a great render from what is a relatively non complex scene in terms of models! Great work! Scott Richardson Bryce 6 Development Team

This is one of the most peaceful images I have ever seen. As with most pictures I can always imagine what the ambient sounds one would hear, with yours...I hear nothing. I feel only cold murky water aginst my body and silence in my ears. You have succeeded in every aspect in putting me in this scene. Outstanding work and thx for sharing.

Oh my... this is so beautiful. The light is just perfect, and the whole scene is absolut amazing. It must be a hard work to render it, no? How many time did the render take?
