I will always remember the ping pong? balls falling on them. It was such a long time ago but I do remember that I watched the show. I feel sad also that he has passed away. Nice Tribute Sackrat. Thank you.

It's all kind of fuzzy now. I remember Tom Teriffic and his funnel hat. There was one routine where every time the captain the Captain said the word "it" Bunny Rabbit would launch into a song. Mah mahlla malla Mahallachi Mahallachi Ma Ma Mahallachi Maahhhh! It was so silly I still remember it.

You really got me. I'm old enough to remember he was just the nicest man, on and off screen. Sad to see him move on. ?:>(

Yes, I even shared a little prayer with members of my family after I heard the news. Maybe it has hit me hard because I always thought of our Good Captain as a hero. Setting good examples and producing wholesome entertainment for kids is one of the most noble career paths I can think of. It was beyond a job to him, he obviously lived it too.

I even knew him as Clarabell on the Howdy Doody Show. He was a good friend to my son, too. This is a fitting tribute to a dear man. Diane

Believe it or not, the Captian, Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood) and Lee Marvin (Dirty Dozen) served together in WWII and were all decorated heroes at Iwo Jima. Fred Rogers always wore long-sleeved sweaters to hide the multitude of tatoos and scars he sported from the war.

I remember waking up early on Saturday mornings just to plop myself down in front of the TV to watch the good Captain. I also remember him as clarabell in Howdy Doody. A very nice and fitting tribute, thanks Sackrat!

What sad news to hear the Captain had passed away. I watched him religiously as a child. This is a lovely tribute to him. Thank you for creating it and sharing it with us.
