Description

Ultrafractal 3.02 "The principle of generating small amounts of finite improbability by simply hooking the logic circuits of a Bambleweeny 57 Sub-Meson Brain to an atomic vector plotter suspended in a strong Brownian Motion producer (say a nice hot cup of tea) were of course well understood - and such generators were often used to break the ice at parties by making all the molecules of the hostess's undergarments leap simultaneously one foot to the left, in accordance with the Theory of Indeterminancy..." - excerpt from "Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy", copyright 1979 by Douglas Adams As I was stressing over just exactly what to call this image, I was strangely compelled to start re-reading Douglas Adams' "Hitch-hikers" series and realised what this was. I was then reassured thru a "Sub-Etha Sensomatic" transmission that we've nothing to fear from the Vogon Constructor crew for at least a millenium - as evidenced by the continued presence of dolphins in our waters. :>) Thanks for stopping by! Rick

I'm a fan of The Hitch-hiker's guide to the Galaxy, and I say your image is just too good for words! My vote for a worthy tribute to a masterpiece of Science Fiction!

Awesome SciFi Fractal scene! I instantly was transformed to a Galaxy flee! We may need it! In 20 years though, will the Vogon Constructor crew except Dolphins in cans, until we run out of that resource as well? Of course I'd opt for SoilentGreen before that! I've got to get Douglas Adams' "Hitch-hikers" sounds better that Kurt Vonnegut Jr! Bravo, Rick!

I am sure this outstanding piece would bring the Vogon Constructor crew to their knees! Lol! This is absolutely scientifically discursive! And down right esthetical! :)

This looks exactly like the described drive. That was a great series, I'll have to read it again as well. I remember the invasion fleet attacking earth that was eaten by a dog because of a miscalculation of scale. This is really a great image, the cores are really getting fired up!

Very intriguing image! I also love Douglas Adams's use of words. So descriptive! I think he would agree that this is indeed an "Infinite Improbability Drive"! The best one I've ever seen!!!

I'd give this a "42" too; most excellent scene. The laws of indeterminancy, however, prevent me from observing it too closely.
