Description

This is my original oil painting of the Fultonham Farmhouse. My grandparents owned this 200 acre farm in Middleburg, N.Y. It sat nestled in a valley with huge mountains and lots of natural springs and creeks. As a child, I spent many a summer vacation there with my sister and my cousins. In May 2003, I went back for the first time in 45 years with my husband and my son and his family. It warmed my heart to share this beautiful place with my 7 year old granddaughter. Virtually nothing had changed except for the missing cows, pigs, chickens, geese and a horse. :)) So I took a photograph and decided to paint it.
