Those who negatively criticize politics do not understand the nature of politics. Yeah, so promises are broken during the presidential time. That has to do with the fact that politics is also negotiating. Politicians would be able to make every promise come true if 100% of the voters would vote for them. That way, a president would be able to follow his presidential agenda without an opposing party. Preferably the democratic party to rule all ;) Anyway, the image: Apparently Bush and Cheney are having a blast so it seems.

not to start a flame-fest here (i'm well aware that politics fall into that category of hot-topics that include religion, gay-marriages, etc.), but i would like to point out that our democracy, despite all that it's done for people, still has quite a long way to go. with the bipartisanism that exists today, you get a democrat in office, and a repulican senate/congress, and progress will never be made. the system of checks-and-balances works as much /against/ us as it does /for/ us. if there was a canidate who was capable of making intelligent decisions for the future and playing the role of steward, then i would probaly have less critical observations. nonetheless, i feel rather disillusioned growing up knowing the mockery of clinton, and now the ignorance of bush. it's sad. also, the image isn't specifically bush, but more accuratley democrates (donkey ) and republicans (elephant ). anyway, that's enough flames from me.
