I can't draw and I've been interested in 3d CG art since the late 80's when I got hold of a copy POVRay. Always inspired by classic sci-fi. Since then I've used Bryce, Truespace, more Bryce, 3ds Max and Blender. Currently mainly Blender partly because I support the open source ideology, but mainly because the upgrade cost is significantly less then max :)Â I like to take photographs too.
By profession I'm an Electronics Engineer, and started using 3ds max while in a fast proto-typing team. The career has moved onto software dev and management, so 3d has returned back to mainly be a hobby with occaisional professional images.
My main other hobbies are kayaking, and playing with the family, although I do the odd bit of Kung Fu too.

Excellent work so far Gog.... I would add some litter, maybe a popcan, beer bottle, newspaper/magazine, garbage cans in between the buildings, that kind of stuff... might want to add some dusty/dirt like texture to the asphalt or a little more texture to the asphalt. A little grafitti might look good here. A pothole or crack in the asphalt might do good too. Sidewalk might want a worn look too it too maybe. Might want to show some wear on the bricks of the buildings, holes in a few bricks, maybe a missing brick. Nice modeling work so far. I like the air car. HTH. Good job so far man. 8)

Very cool so far GOG. I agree with what's been said already, more grit and grunge, and imperfection.

Wide track, wider is better :D I agree with all of the above.

The environment is coming along nicely, I like the glowing letters on the guys clothing. Where is his shadow? I can't wait to see the finished piece.
