Description

...you know these winter nights you can see every thing absolutely clear in the bright moonlight? I tried to catch such a view in this image. The main scene was very soon created but I didn't like the Vue snow - no sparkling, no glowing. I played arround for a while and made a new snow material. I think it reflects the light much better. Btw - the trees in the background are lots of alpha planes rendered in Vue with different pines - Thomas Krahns beautiful conifer which I used first is a real Ram-killer. After three days of rendertime with no end to see I gave up... Comments are welcome as usual - hope you like it.

Thanks a lot for your nice comments! If someone is interested in the snow texture - here is the reciept: take the normal Vue snow texture, set the reflectivity to 100%, than choose variable reflektivity. As funktion use stars from the spots and scale it down on all three axes to 0,150. That's all, simple but very effective,also with daylight. Perhaps you must scale down the function in the material summary a bit if the spots are too big - it depends on the size of the object. I used a scale of 0,70 for the terrain.
