Description

Kind of remembrance of my father He passed away three years ago 94 years of age The passion of his life was violins he played, but not so well but he built them, even in his last years At age 92 he made his 54th violin he could not see, he could not hear but his hands knew Our relation was not so good guess I was not an easy child and he surely was no easy father to deal with Not until his last year in life I could look at him with forgiveness and love So I felt I had to do this image for my own sake it is no masterpiece just a collage of pieces in a square frame a little like him :-) Peace to you, my father!

Very touching. Very beautiful. --- It's almost for all of us very difficult to to deal with our own feelings concerning our passed elders... You've made it so respectfully and understanding. And yet honestly in your words supporting so greatly the picture. It is a master piece, at least for me.

I have to echo wildfire (above) - when you put so much of yourself into an artistic piece such as this, it is a masterpiece. What a wonderful tribute to your father, and an awesome example of expressive portraiture.

I think this is beautiful! I love the soft sepia tone (perfect for the subject matter). And I like the musical notes overlaying the image...subtle enough not to distract attention, yet legible. Very sensitive piece...your father would love it :)

Not my father either is easy to be with. Am I? Huh! no... Do we understand eachother? We hope so. Do we want to be understood while we're alive? No question about it. So I know what you mean with it. I can relate to my situation a bit. Anyways, beautiful work as always. Hugz.

This is so fitting to my mood at the moment Gun... as expected, my aunt finally passed away today after battling with lung cancer. She'd quit smoking a few years ago but then started again. She was only 56. I'm not in a state, just feeling a bit numb, and sad for her family.
Thank you for sharing your dad's memory with us, I see so much love here, no wonder you set Pascale off... as I said, it's just very appropriate to how I feel right now. Thank you so much :-)

I think perhaps you have your father's strength and that makes our relationships with our similar in nature parent that much more difficult~ I wonder if you carry the "why" didn't you protect me question,as I do.Well, our fathers did not know how~Precious, forgiving and loving, this is a beautiful tribute to your father who had a dream for his new born daughter those years ago,as all fathers do and did his best to do what he was able to.It is what a parent is unable to do that stays with us and causes the issues that arise. It was not you dear woman~ do and this we will not forget~
