Description
A render of a vase I modelled to help me learn Wings 3D. 7 mins Athlon 850, 512megs of ram.

Thanks for the comments guys. Wings is nice for modelling because it is really easy to select groups of related edges and manipulate them in an intuitive way. I still have not really dug into the vertex modeller in Carrara but Wings does seem to have a more more developed set of tools for SDS modelling . However there are a few things possible in Carrara's modeller that are not in Wings like working with non solid shapes. I cant wait to learn both cause together they will really work well. I am not sure how this vase would have been modelled in C3 because I used the bevel function to add details like the groves, the select similar function to select vertices and edges automatically (instead of selecting them manually), then moving these faces along a their respective normals. I suspect that Amapi 7 is the best but I dont have the money or time to learn at the moment.

Wonderful wonderful work of art you have created I love what you have done here the textures are so smoth that they set a very peaceful mood. Excellent work Can you please tell me a little more bout this carrara ?
